Planktosalinus is a Gram-negative, strictly heterotrophic and aerobic genus of bacteria from the family of Flavobacteriaceae with one known species (Planktosalinus lacus).^[1]^[2]^[3] Planktosalinus lacus has been isolated from the Lake Xiaochaidan in China.^[3]
